Week 4 Term 1

This week I learnt about place value and rounding numbers.  I have a goal to be in production even though it might be tricky...  I had to do some tests and I hope it's all done now. I think I might of rushed a bit in some of my tests and in some I finished just in time.  We also had tech arts and it won't be long before we move on. I learnt a new song on the ukulele and practiced on the key board.  I also learnt how to times bigger number.  I managed to adjust to the way here but I haven't totally adjusted.  In softball I'd like to try to sneak and get a home run.  We also learnt about estimation and it was interesting. I like the math books that we can take down to the mat to copy down from the board it makes math a lot easier.  I hope to get my saxophone soon and then I can start practicing. We also started french and it is actually very interesting. Life is changing.

Week 3 Review

Last week we had Asttle writing. I found it was a little bit harder than I thought.  But it was my first time so I'll improve.  We learnt about the rules of softball which a pretty complex compared to Danish rounders.  We had our semifinal in Danish rounders and we won so today is finals.  I started on mathletics and it's actually pretty fun.  In tech arts we learnt more about music did some pieces on the keyboard and the ukulele.  We also did some rhythms on the drums.  We also had a math test and I think I did okay but not great.  I had my first extension art and it was really fun we are going to start on a painting about New Zealand native plants and I'm going to draw the Kakabeak.  It fits in with everything I wanted to paint.  I wanted something original, like the kowhi flower, something bright and something native to New Zealand.  The Kakabeak is a red kowhi like flower.  It's native to New Zealand and is something not many people would know about.
I also learnt about the colour wheel. Thanks for reading.
